And she's off

Well school time is here again. I am only a few days away from taking off on a new adventure in my life. I have been gone from school for two years. Strange to think I am going back. I am very excited but it feels so foreign. The other day I was reading in the ENSIGN and came across an article that spoke to my heart.

So often in life we feel we need to plan it out. I myself am a planner and enjoy making plans and seeing them come to pass. But in life we can't control all variables. In times of trial or lack of understanding we have to remember a few things. First- Don't worry about what you can't control. We can't control others choices or reactions. We can only control our own.

Second- "We can't predict all the struggles and storms in life, not even the ones just around the corner, but as persons of faith and hope, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, and the best is yet to come"- L. Tom Perry

Again another statement with such umph that it rings in our hearts when we read it. The best might be in this life or in the next, but none the less because of the knowledge we have of Christ we know it is all going to be ok.

I'm not worried about going back to school but i know that what ever happens i can trust in the promises of Jesus Christ. What a great blessing knowledge is!

A New Beginning

I am starting a new phase in my life and I feel it is time for a new Blog to tell the World about it. As to what will be on this blog, we will see as it comes but let me first explain the title.
When I was having my exit interview with my mission President he said something to me that struck a cord. He said to remember that the phase of my life as a missionary had passed and that "The best was yet to come" I believed him with all my heart and the spirit confirmed it's truth to me. Each two years ot 18months of our lives should be the best. Those 18 months as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was wonderful. It was the best to 18months for my life, but the Best is Yet to come!
Wish me luck
